找不到售票口華裔乘客抱怨

長島鐵路(LIRR)緬街站改造項目18日啟用，新增多項設施。華裔民眾稱讚新站點乾淨便捷，但也反映未見中文工作人員服務，以及找不到售票口等問題，讓一些不諳英文的新移民想購票卻不知如何下手。

法拉盛居民魏雪梨(Sherry Wei)表示，雖然在法拉盛住了三年，但過去因LIRR緬街站標誌不清等因素，並不知道有這個站存在，當日是為幫助一位不懂英文的華裔民眾購票，以及看到LIRR標誌和新建兩個電梯，才第一次登上LIRR緬街的站台。

對於新設施，魏雪梨表示，電梯和庇護所等設施均為乘客提供了便捷和乾淨的服務，但她和友人沒找到新售票窗口，不知如何了解LIRR火車時刻表以及繁忙時段等信息。

長島華裔居民申寶潤在法拉盛工作，他表示，長島鐵路為他提供了便捷的通勤工具，雖然票價比坐公車貴，但只需20多分鐘即可往返工作地點和家中。

不過，英文不好的他說，自己每月需要女兒幫助才能購買月票，而且法拉盛華裔新移民較多，並非所有人都像自己一樣幸運，有人幫助購票。

華裔女性王紅莉於當日下午6時的下班高峰時段，準備搭LIRR返家，她表示，她花了10分鐘才找到售票口，但窗口已拉上鐵柵無人工作。她說自己不會英文，也怕麻煩陌生人，只能眼睜睜看著兩趟火車開走，「我家人有事不能接我回家，只能坐火車回長島，上次沒買票，被工作人員查出，還罰了錢」。

LIRR緬街站舊購票窗口設在東行列車入口，由於不符合美國民眾殘障者手冊(Americans with Disabilities Act guidelines)規定，已被拆除；新落成的LIRR緬街站購票窗口位於西行列車的入口處，在購票處旁設有自動購票機、新樓梯、惡劣天氣庇護所以及USB充電口等設施。

但因沒有宣傳和信息牌指示，許多乘客仍不知新售票口的存在；而張貼在售票台外的工作時間表則顯示，目前僅周一和周五的上午6時15分到下午1時55分提供服務，其餘時段關閉，節假日工作時間將調整，詳情可撥打511查詢。
